Computers and Monitors for Liberia Shipment planned soon.
We have many computers and monitors that are waiting to be shipped to Liberia as soon as funding is complete and the final arrangements are made. Your donation would go a long way to help us get this shipped as soon as possible. Here are some images of previous shipment of computers that were sent to the students and schools in Liberia.
There is a great need for working computers in Liberian schools as well as educational software, training and ability to maintain the computers. It is often cheaper to ship computers & equipment to West Africa than to arrange for purchase locally. The cost including not only the cost of shipping but also import duties, local transport, installation, maintenance and other costs. Importing second-hand PCs also needs to involve quality checking to be sure the computers are in good working condition and that the operating system and educational software is available.
Your help will make a huge difference
We hope that the general public as well as other organizations, churches, and individuals, will help us to support this initiative which offers young African children the opportunity to train in computer and technology resources and applications. This way, these children are better prepared for higher education and training and to be able to compete in today’s world. This is about fighting poverty head-on! We need your support.
Many schools in Liberia, especially those in rural areas, are often under-prepared, lack spare parts and training. However, with the right leadership and guidance, success can be achieved with using imported, refurbished PCs. Under the right circumstances, refurbished and donated used computers can offer a productive second life and make a huge difference to a Liberian student.
